Our Mission
We don't take sides.
We take notes.
One platform. Every conflict. No agenda.
What We Are
OLEG exists because understanding the world's conflicts shouldn't require a PhD, a subscription, or hours of searching. We track every major conflict on earth — the history, the human cost, the political connections, and the global impact — and we make it free, accurate, and accessible to everyone.
Why We Exist
OLEG was built on a simple frustration — that the most important events shaping our world are also the hardest to understand. Conflicts that displace millions, reshape borders, and drive global markets are covered in fragments across hundreds of sources, each carrying their own bias, their own gaps, their own agenda. The result is that most people either disengage entirely or form their understanding from incomplete information.
OLEG is the alternative. A single, independent platform that tracks global conflict with accuracy, connects historical context to current events, and presents everything free from advertising, free from political influence, and free from charge. Built for students and heads of state alike. For the person who wants to understand why the world is the way it is.
We don't take sides. We take notes.

How We Work
Sources
All conflict data is sourced from established independent organisations including the Uppsala Conflict Data Program, Iraq Body Count, the Costs of War Project at Brown University, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. Every figure displayed links directly to its source.
Contested Figures
Where casualty figures or facts are disputed between parties, OLEG displays the range of credible estimates and identifies who produced each figure. We never present a single contested number as definitive fact.
Neutrality
OLEG does not editorially support any government, armed group, political movement, or nation state. We describe all parties to a conflict using neutral, factual language. We apply the same standards of scrutiny to all sides.
Funding
OLEG accepts no advertising. We accept no funding from governments, political organisations, arms manufacturers, or any entity with a direct interest in the conflicts we cover. Funding sources are published publicly and updated regularly.
Corrections
When we get something wrong we correct it publicly, prominently, and immediately. We do not delete corrections — we display them alongside the original entry so the record is transparent.
Independence
No individual, organisation, or government has editorial influence over what OLEG covers or how we cover it. Editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of accuracy, relevance, and public interest.
Built for everyone.
Beholden to no one.
OLEG is free, independent, and always will be.
